Eyebrows are our most prominent facial feature, responsible for expressions, warmth and depth, as well as a contributing factor to the way people perceive us. The correct design of your brows can give shape and definition for a more youthful look or improve your existing brows by adding volume, definition or your desired shape.
We can provide you with the perfect brows regardless of the natural growth of your brow hair or shape. Eyebrows can become sparse from over-plucking, ill health or can simply deteriorate with age and pencilling in your eyebrows every day can become tedious and time-consuming. With Semi-Permanent makeup, we can achieve long-term results that traditional makeup cannot. We can even lighten, darken or soften the colour with micro-fine strokes that would look completely natural.
The end result will leave you with personalized eyebrows complimenting your face and skin tone. Whatever you are looking for, from creating more volume, definition, to a shape improvement or change, you can choose the style that will be suitable for you and restore the appearance of realistic looking brows. We can create a perfectly shaped yet natural looking brow.
The first part of the process is a consultation. This is normally done as part of your initial treatment but can be done separately if you prefer. We will talk with you in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve and what we might recommend to you. This is very much a two-way conversation. We listen, we respond, we advise. Once we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the brows on with a makeup pencil. These can be drawn on and adjusted if necessary. We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what they are going to look like.
Using a specialist facial tattooing machine or handheld pen, we gently apply pigment to the skin using very fine needles. The sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin or a razer like feeling, it shouldn’t be painful however we will always work with you at this stage, giving you breaks if you need them. The process normally takes about one hour, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. Immediately after a brow treatment, you should expect the area to look 40-50% darker than the colour you have chosen in consultation. This will start to fade after 3-4 days.
A second appointment is needed 2-4 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 30-60 minute appointment to add more pigment to the brow area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, we advise you always come back to the clinic for your retouch.
Q. Should I bring my brow pencil?
A. Yes, it can be useful to see what colour tones you have been using for your brows.
Q. Do you do hair strokes or block brows?
A. For brows, this means we can imitate natural brow hairs – whether you have any left, or none. Alternatively, if you do want a block brow style that can also be achieved. We will work with you to achieve the perfect brow style for you.
Q. Can I have my brows waxed, then have a brow treatment?
A. Any waxing should be performed before the treatment.
Q. Can I have electrolysis on my brows, then have a brow treatment?
A. You should wait for a minimum of five days between having electrolysis and permanent cosmetics for brows.
Q. Do I have to have all my eyebrows shaved off?
A. No. We prefer you to keep your own brows – don’t even tweeze them before you come in as we like to work within your natural shape if possible.
Q. Will you need to remove any of my natural brow hairs?
A. We will work with whatever brow hairs you have. The only time brow hairs may need to be removed is if there is any errant growth which needs tidying up, either through waxing beforehand, tweezing or plucking.
Q. Will my brows look very dark after the treatment?
A. You should be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the treatment. This will subside and become lighter as the skin heals. This process can take up to 10 days.
Q. Who can benefit from permanent makeup?
A. Alopecia, Chemotherapy, Physically active, Vision Impaired, Allergies and skin sensitivities, Men, Women

A. Some people will experience a little redness or swelling straight after the treatment, this will subside within 24 hours. The pigment may also look darker than you expected, after 3-5 days the surface colour will naturally exfoliate to leave a softer lighter colour. After 5 days the colour may be lighter than you want it, you then come back 2-4 weeks later for a retouch.
Q. How long will it last for?
A. As your skin rejuvenates, the pigments will gradually fade over a period of up to 2 years. Most people will have a colour boost every 12-18 months.
